Thirty five years as an industrial designer did not prepare me for being a painter. I feel like I’m still learning every time I face a blank canvas. I think this is a good thing and I enjoy trying new techniques, compositions and subjects. I paint in a style that shows the brushwork and structure of the work not spending a lot of time on details.
Most of my paintings are realistic, but I take liberties with the subject to show it the way I would like it to look. I have received many awards for my work and I am in private and corporate collections. Presently I am represented by the Museums of Los Gatos Gallery in Los Gatos and by the Valley Art Gallery in Walnut Creek. I paint mostly in my studio in Los Gatos where I have lived for many years.
